02.03.2016 | New Makeup

Is there any better feeling?!

My latest Makeup Revolution order landed on my doorstep today, and I love it!

I grabbed the new Flawless 2 palette, the Pink Fizz palette, two of the new Rose Gold lipsticks in 'Chauffeur' and 'Girl's Best Friend' (I'm obsessed with anything rose gold at the minute), and one the new Strobing Balms in 'Euphoria'.

I'm not a fan of strobing, but I love a strong contour paired with a nice flashy highlight, so you just know I'm gonna lurveee the balm!

Also, I'm intrigued by the sparkly red shade in the Flawless 2 palette, but having swatched the Pink Fizz palette quickly on my fingers, I can't say I'm optimistic - Im sensing I'm gonna be disappointed.

I can't wait until our new bedroom is finished so I can play with these bad boys!

22.02.16 | Tired

The Hubs and myself are currently in the process of redecorating-slash-overhauling our bedroom. We wanted a calmer room for sleeping, and I wanted a nicer space as a backdrop for my videos, since my only place to film is our bedroom. Plus, all the current furniture is mismatched and we're desperate for better storage solutions after almost 4 years of struggling.

Yesterday was spent steaming and stripping the wallpaper off. Today was spent sanding and glossing, and ordering the new furniture and bed. Tomorrow we can start getting the new wallpaper up hopefully, if the gloss has dried on the woodwork. It seems to be taking ages to dry, though, and you don't realise how much you actually touch doors etc. until you suddenly get a splodge of gloss paint on your fingers and have to attempt to find the brush and blend it away in a panic. *huff puff whinge moan*

In the morning, however, we're having a short intermission from the decorating. I'm going to film a video of some sort in the morning, and then possibly vlog myself getting my new tattoo, while Hubs gets some more decorating supplies such as the new flooring, some wallpaper paste, and all that jazz. You'd think we'd have already gotten that sorta stuff but, nope, we're not that organised.

But tonight? Tonight I'm very tired. All I want to do is lie in bed and watch some Doctor Who on Netflix.... hmm yes.

EDIT: the TV remote is somewhere in our clusterfuck of a bedroom and idk where. Maybe no Netflix tonight then. I has a sad.

21.02.16 | A Change of Pace

I enjoy blogging. Since I was a young child, I've enjoyed writing. I have a dozen unfinished journals and even more abandoned novels under my belt. I just love writing (or typing, rather!).

However I haven't really enjoyed beauty blogging. It just isn't for me. Lately, I've gotten back into making YouTube videos on a regular schedule - every Tuesday and Saturday - and I find I enjoy that far more. Any reviews or the like, I prefer to film rather than write about. This fact left me with a conundrum; I wanted to continue keeping a blog alongside my channel, but how, if I just wasn't 'feeling' it?

This is how I've come to settle on the idea of changing my blog, almost completely. This won't be a beauty blog now - or rather beauty won't be the sole focus. I want to blog about whatever I feel, whether that be my makeup of the day, or an adventure out that I've had with my family. I want it to be more personal. This is something I've considered for a while now, and I'm lovely and settled on the idea.

My blog will be a snapshot of my life, a little extra view of what my life consists of, alongside my YouTube channel.

So, hopefully I'll see you guys on the other side! :)

My MAC Lipstick Collection | January 2016

I love love loveee MAC lipstick collection videos, because I'm so damned nosey, haha! So, now that I finally feel I'm getting somewhere with my collection, I wanted to make a video showing the ones I currently own. Featuring lip swatches. The burn was so beyond real, lemme tell ya!

I know my collection is nothing compared to some out there on YouTube, but I'm incredibly proud of it and in love with each and every lipstick I own. Hopefully you guys enjoy it!
